Learning doesn’t always need to take place in the classroom. HRCEF Field Trip Grants fund adventures off campus or help teachers bring fresh experiences into the classroom. This program aims to enrich learning for all elementary and middle school students in Hood River County through hands-on experience and good old-fashioned fun.

Impact field trip grants are available for all Hood River County elementary and middle schools from October – June every year. Teachers may apply to take their students on field trips ranging from hikes to fishery tours to museums. In previous years, Hood River County students have used field trip grants to visit the Oregon Zoo and OMSI, learn about Gorge ecology in the great outdoors, and even spend the day bowling.

If you are faculty or staff at an HRCSD elementary or middle school, speak with your principal to learn more about obtaining an HRCEF Field Trip Grant.
