The Nathan Hazlett Memorial Scholarship was established in 2015 by friends and family in his memory. Nathan’s love of planes started at a very young age. The Hazlett family lived by the airport and Nathan would frequently walk down the road to watch the planes, which fostered his love of flying. Nathan attended HRVHS and graduated in 1998. He completed ground school at Hood River airport his senior year and completed his internship with Aero Spray.
This $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to one individual per year who would like to pursue a career as a pilot and who meets the criteria
CRITERIA
- The student must be an HRVHS graduate who wants to pursue a career as a pilot

Students will be scored according to the % shown:
- Community Involvement (20%)
- Financial Need (20%)
- Letters of Recommendation (20%)
- Personal Statement (40%)
