Winter 2015 teaching grants

January 2015 Grant Awards

Congratulations teachers!  We have recently completed our review of applications for our January 2015 grant cycle.  This year the HRCEF Board has awarded 14 grants totaling  $11,883.82.  Here are the 2015 awards:

1. David Clarkson, Amy Foley, Joe Kelly, Biology Department, 6 compound light microscopes and 3 dissecting microscopes, HRVHS

2.  Kathryn Davis, Student materials for Plant Genetics, Biology, HRVHS

3.  Megan Farrell, FOSS science kit (water module for grade 3) Westside Elementary

4.  Matthew Gerlick, printmaking supplies, Art, HRVHS

5.  Gabrielle Iversen, new ceramics kiln, HRVHS

6.  Amirra Malak, 3D scanner and software for art, HRVHS

7.  Shawn Meyle, videography equipment for student videos, HRVHS

8.  Sally Prichett, Calligraphy supplies, Wy’east Middle School

9.  David Saquety, student materials and reference on dyslexia, Wy’east Middle

10. Sarah Segal and Brent Emmons, Display of historic realia, Hood River Middle

11. Dodie Sims, purchase of Oregon Battle of the Books volumes, Wy’east Middle

12.  Adam Smith, Art and Ornithology, Hood River Middle

13.  Mandy Webster, English classroom library of leveled reading for students, HRVHS

14.  Carolyn Welty-Fick, purchase of wall maps and student maps, grade 5, Westside Elementary
