Scholarship Overview

HRCEF Scholarships for Hood River County SchoolsOne of the primary goals of the Hood River Education Foundation is to help prepare our students for the next phase of their lives.  In order to achieve this goal, the Hood River County Education Foundation manages more than 45 scholarship funds that make awards to graduating seniors and college students.  Over the 17+ years that HRCEF has been granting scholarships, more than 850 students have received a total of nearly $1,200,000.

The majority of these funds have been established by local families or businesses and make awards each year that range in size from $1000 to $5,000.  Each scholarship has a unique set of criteria, based on the interests of those who established the fund.

Scholarships are available for students who are interested in four-year colleges and universities, two-year community colleges, and other technical programs.  The Education Foundation also has funds available for students who have completed at least one year of college.
