College Scholarships

2026 Scholarships will be open Monday, March 9 – Monday, April 13

How to Apply

Applications for HRCEF College Scholarships are typically open from mid-March to mid-April each year.

HRCEF College Scholarships operate by common application. To apply for college scholarships, students will need to provide:

  • One letter of recommendation from an instructor, preferably in your field of study
  • College Transcript (pdf)
  • Financial Statement (questions on application)
  • Personal Statement
  • FAFSA / ORSAA Student Aid Index (SAI)

Students do not need to provide any additional documents or essays to apply for HRCEF college scholarships.

A note on letter of recommendation:

Students will provide the name and email of their recommender as part of the application. Recommenders will upload the letter to the application directly.

PROMPT for Personal Statement (500 words or less)

Write a description of your selected major, your future goals and any relevant personal or financial challenges that you face in pursuing your education.


Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicant must be an HRVHS or HROA graduate
  • Applicants who have already completed a four-year degree are not eligible
  • Scholarships are intended for undergraduate funding, and may not be utilized towards Master’s Doctoral, or post-Doctoral programs.
  • With the exception of the Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital Healing Hands Scholarships, applicants must be currently enrolled in a two-year, trade or four-year degree program.
